Riding "Almost" Like a Pro

After lunch, Jaelyn finally convinced us to take her outside to practice riding. We wrapped her up in all her padding and off she went, pretty much by herself:

(Please don't laugh at my silly run. It's hard to run in crocs while trying to keep up with Jaelyn and not kick the back of her bike.)

She rode all the way around the block. She got scared on one long downhill stretch and got to practice braking without crashing; so that was good. Once she figures out how to get herself started, she won't need me.

Allie is chomping at the bit to ride Jaelyn's bike. I did let her try again today, but she totally doesn't get the whole balance thing - which is kind of essential to riding a bike. I think NEXT summer will be Allie's summer.
