Playing with Play dough

I have hated play doh with a passion for a long time. It leaves such a mess. About a year ago, someone gave me a recipe for home-made play dough and while I don't love it, I don't dislike anymore either. The kids enjoy helping me make it. They even play with it better. Maybe it's because they are older. The mess isn't nearly as bad as it used to be.

I did learn two things when we made play dough yesterday. You shouldn't substitute olive oil for vegetable oil. It leaves the dough feeling oily no matter how much flour you add to it. Also, coloring/scenting the dough with tropical punch crystal light makes beautiful, bright red dough that makes the whole room smell good.
